ABOUT

“I’m not striving to be famous. I do it to be happy and to be remembered for something. Even if it’s not helping everyone, even if it just helps one person. I definitely want people to hear my music, but I want it to push people lives and the music industry further.”

- Matt Brodeur -

Instantly recognized for his ability to craft heartfelt songs that pull influences from multiple genres, Matt Brodeur was signed to a record label at a young age. He toured the country learning, playing, and growing with hit producers and songwriters, such as Platinum songwriter of American Idol fame, Elliot Yamin. After his tour, Matt returned to his roots to write music in his own direction. He impressed the label so much that he was placed on Warped Tour for 30 days. The end result: 30 days of six guys in one van, few showers, using waterbottles to brush teeth, and barely any sleep. Burning Slow is the brain child of Matt Brodeur, born out of that hectic Warped Tour.

Pulling influences from all aspects of Matt’s life and experiences, Burning Slow’s music is definitely eclectic. Their first album, Diversity, is aptly named as it jumps from genre to genre, going on a journey and baiting the listener to follow. Since its inception, Burning Slow has gone on to open for bands such as Saving Abel and Sublime with Rome.  Recently signed to Platinum and Grammy-award winning producer Chuck Ebert of Axon Entertainment, Burning Slow is poised to launch into the stratosphere. With a self-described style of Incubus meets Red Hot Chili Peppers, the song craft of John Mayer, and the indie persuasions of Nothing More, Matisyahu, and Twelve Foot Ninja; Burning Slow is definitely an unstoppable force with Matt Brodeur at the helm.

Quoting Matt: “I’m not striving to be famous. I do it to be happy and to be remembered for something. Even if it’s not helping everyone, even if it just helps one person. I definitely want people to hear my music, but I want it to push people lives and the music industry further.”
